Yesterday, DBM Vircon had the pleasure of showcasing our capabilities and innovations to Bill Shorten, Opposition Leader and Alannah MacTiernan, Shadow Parliamentary Secretary Regional Development and Infrastructure.
Bill Shorten was visiting WA Businesses who had a drive for innovation and DBM Vircon was mentioned as a business to not miss. Our technology room was transformed into a press conference room where we took Bill and Alannah through our work and some of the excellent work we’ve done in our systems innovation across 3D modelling, BIM and iConstruct. They where both very impressed with DBM Vircon and our thirst for innovation.
An excerpt below from Bills delivery to the press, which can be found in the transcript of the day online.
“Good morning, everyone. It is great to be here with Alannah MacTiernan, our Parliamentary Secretary for Western Australia, and champion of innovation right through Australia but also here in Western Australia. We’re at DBM Vircon; this company makes me feel proud to be Australian. What we have here is the best part of the mining boom. We see here innovation, invention, technology, new technology combined with old skills of engineering now competing with the best in the world. Australia can compete with all of the countries in the world and our inventors and our experts and our businesses are the equal of anywhere in the world. This is a successful export business, and based upon what they do is the story of the jobs of the future.”
