Celebrating the Retirement of Cedric Easthorpe

We are incredibly grateful to Cedric Easthorpe for his 28 years of dedicated service to DBM Vircon. Cedric joined our team in 1997 as a Structural Steel Detailer, bringing with him valuable experience from South Africa.

Over the years, Cedric has consistently demonstrated exceptional skills and a strong work ethic. He quickly mastered AutoCad and Xsteel, becoming a highly proficient detailer. He also successfully managed numerous challenging projects, including iconic landmarks like the PNC Park Baseball Stadium in Pittsburgh and the World Trade Center 7 in New York City.

In 2008, Cedric took on the role of Business Manager for our New Zealand office, a position he filled with grace and dedication. He navigated the company through significant challenges, including the Global Financial Crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, always prioritizing the well-being of his team and maintaining strong client relationships.

Cedric’s contributions to DBM Vircon are numerous and impactful. He played a key role in securing our current office space and oversaw its renovation, creating a modern and inspiring work environment. His mentorship of his successor, Scott Common, ensured a smooth transition of leadership.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Cedric for his unwavering commitment, his positive spirit, and his invaluable contributions to our company’s success. We wish him all the best in his well-deserved retirement.
