The University of Notre Dame Campus Crossroads consisted of 3 new buildings to the west, south and east of the existing Notre Dame Stadium.
The University of Notre Dame Campus Crossroads was a 750,000-square foot project that created academic and event space at the center of campus to utilize the area more often. The Phase 1 east and west buildings also introduced approximately 4,000 new premium seats for the stadium.
Working with Barton Malow, Phase 1 included modeling and detailing of 8,000 complex tons of steel including special order heavy columns and trusses. Portions of the premium seating risers were supported by cantilevered and stacked HSS sections. DBM Vircon worked in a design-assist role and provided a model and a set of deliverables for all potential steel subcontractors during the bid phase.
Phase 1 buildings were sealed before start of 2015 football season and only 10 months after steel contract award. Phase 2 was completed August 2017.
It is our unique combination of experience, expertise and technology that turns complex data into intelligent and context rich models.
