The Rapid Growth Project 4 – Newman Hub involved the installation of a new Car Dumper facility for the delivery of ore by rail.

Rapid Growth 4 – Newman Hub Project Details:

The Rapid Growth Project 4 – Newman Hub facilitates delivery of ore by rail from the satellite ore body mines, a new crushing and screening plant to produce processed ore from primary crushed ore delivered from the Newman high grade circuit and satellite ore body mines, a new coarse ore stock pile, a new stockyard facility for stockpiling lump and fines product from the new crushing and screening plant, a new train load out facility, plus all interconnecting conveyors and associated infrastructure on a greenfield’s site adjacent to the existing plant.

DBM Vircon’s Scope of Work:

Working directly for BHP, DBM Vircon’s scope included 3D BIM Modelling, shop detailing drawings and associated deliverables for the production and site installation of all structural and mechanical steelwork, platework and piping associated with the facilities.
