Life @ DBM Vircon – Andrew Belsham

What is your favourite thing about working for DBM Vircon and the work you do?

My favourite thing about working for DBM Vircon is its exceptional people and their wonderful work culture and ethics, along with their great qualities and level of commitments each person has. Being a part of their team has been a real optimistic experience to me and my life throughout the years. I also love being of great value to them for what I do in the Brisbane office, regardless of the type of work I do no matter how big or small, complex or simple.

How has your career been during your time at DBM Vircon?

Ever since being employed here on the 30th of March 2015, it’s been a long & progressive road trip. My career involves a variety of projects mostly through document control duties, along with some steel detailing training and, if ever requested, working on real jobs based on my current level of experience with the support of others. My other duties also involve lending a hand for special requests by certain people in different areas of the office whenever required.

What are some of your personal and professional achievements?

Being an innovative and ideal employee for DBM Vircon is an accomplishment that has helped me achieve a lot of things during my time with them. For the first few years, it was just a few annual contracts, but eventually they’ve appointed me as a full-time employee, allowing me to realise a milestone of 10 years! Being with them for so long I was eventually able to buy my own place to live in South Brisbane for the past few years. I’ve made everyone important to me proud of what I do and what I’ve accomplished here.
