DBM Vircon is pleased to announce the appointment and promotion of Alastair Brook to the role of Global General Manager – Digital Engineering.
Alastair has over 15 years’ experience working in construction management, design & construct, strategic estimating, drafting & building design, Digital Engineering, BIM and project management.
Most recently, Alastair has been leading DBM Vircon’s Digital Engineering division in the role of Director – Digital Engineering, where the strategic direction, day to day management of the team and definition & implementation of clients’ strategies are his focus. Major projects Alastair has contributed to and lead include:
- Destination Brisbane Consortium’s Queens Wharf (DBC)
- Cross River Rail Delivery Authority (CRRDA)
- Brisbane Metro (BCC)
Alastair shares, “Our team has grown from a small scale, essentially an internal start-up, to now integrating with our clients on some of the most remarkable and complex projects. I’m excited to continue working with our diverse and multi-talented team as we provide fit for purpose, innovative digital engineering solutions.”
Alastair is an active member of the Australian Institute of Building and regularly guest lectures at universities across Australia. He is currently completing his MBA at the University of Western Australia. When he’s not focused on work, Alastair enjoys spending his time renovating his home with his partner, playing golf, and chasing after his two young children.
