This confidential Data Center in the central United States was developed to meet the increasing global demand for cloud computing and artificial intelligence infrastructure. Purpose-built to power a wide array of digital services, the facility combines state-of-the-art systems with resilient architecture to ensure optimal uptime and scalability. Its strategic location in supports the owner’s expanding data operations in the central United States.
This facility features large-span steel structures and densely packed MEP systems, designed to house high-density computer hardware within a highly secure, climate-controlled environment. The project required advanced integration of architectural, structural, and systems-based components, enabling the owner to manage complex workloads and future-proof their data capabilities. Efficiency and reliability were central to the project’s design and delivery goals.
DBM Vircon was responsible for delivering LOD 400 steel and MEP models utilizing Tekla and Revit. The digital models supported fabrication-level detailing and enabled seamless integration between structural and MEP disciplines. By working closely with the fabricator and other trade partners, DBM Vircon helped facilitate early clash detection, precise shop drawing production, and informed construction sequencing.
The accuracy and detail of DBM Vircon’s models contributed significantly to reducing rework and driving efficiencies on-site, supporting the project’s delivery within strict timelines.
