A 71-ton roof MEP framing package on an operating Georgia data center campus, picked up mid-project. DBM Vircon was engaged to complete the remaining mechanical, electrical and plumbing interface with a data hall detailed by another party.
Not every data center scope is measured in thousands of tons. This package was 71 tons of roof framing supporting mechanical, electrical and plumbing services — small in volume, unforgiving in tolerance, and entirely dependent on matching work that had already been modeled by someone else.
GrayWolf brought DBM Vircon in to finish the remaining MEP interface against an existing data hall. The task was one of reconciliation: aligning new framing to structure detailed to another party’s standards and conventions, resolving the connection conditions where the two packages met, and issuing for fabrication without disturbing work already complete on site.
The package was delivered across nine months, with prior familiarity with the campus typology from three earlier phases shortening the interpretation effort on the inherited model.
