Montreign Resort Casino is a large, multi-faceted development located in New York. It includes an 18-storey tower with luxury hotel rooms and suites, 80,000 sq.ft. casino, resort amenities, casual and gourmet restaurants, spa and salon, conference and banquet facilities.

DBM Vircon’s Scope of Work:

Owen Steel engaged DBM Vircon’s Detailing and Engineering teams for the delivery of the shop detailing and connection design of the structural steel works. The integrated scope covered the steel detailing for all elements of the structural steel frame for the hotel, casino, villas, pool, feature frames and bus canopy inclusive of the required connection designs for these main structures of the project.

• Shop fabrication drawings
• Professional Engineer certified connection design calculations

Montreign Resort Casino Project Highlights & Challenges:

The Montreign Casino project is a significant project for DBM Vircon as this is the first time that Owen Steel engaged DBM Vircon’s engineering team as an adjunct to detailing services.

At the time DBM Vircon’s engineering team was a newly-formed arm of the design group, specifically targeting connection design services, particularly in the North American market. DBM Vircon’s Engineer of Record (EOR) for this project was also newly engaged, making quality and timely deliverables imperative.
