The Lake Charles power station is a 994MW natural gas-fired, combined-cycle power plant located in the Westlake region of Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, US. It is owned and run by Entergy Corp.
The combined-cycle gas turbine project is one of the cleanest and most efficient fossil fuel-fired plants developed by Entergy Louisiana. It can produce power sufficient for approximately 675,000 Louisiana homes.
The project utilized more than 23,000yd³ of concrete, and approximately 948 tons of steel during construction.
Working with client CMC, DBM Vircon provided 3D rebar modeling services for various structures on this development. DBM Vircon has also worked on several other similar infrastructure projects including Montgomery County Power Station (Texas), St. Charles Power Station (Louisiana), and Delta Energy Park (Michigan).
It is our unique combination of experience, expertise and technology that turns complex data into intelligent and context rich models.
