|LOCATION:||Detroit, Michigan, USA|
As part of major re-vitalization of downtown Detroit, Michigan (USA), construction has begun on a nearly 900-foot tall tower with 1 million square feet of retail, office, residential, and public space.
Due to the project’s array of uses, its architects are calling this development — which is expected to cost around $1 billion — a “city within a city.”
The development will feature around 425,000 square feet of residential space, 240,000 square feet of office space, 120,000 square feet of event space, and 100,000 square feet of retail space. There will be at least 700 underground parking spaces.
DBM Vircon team is working directly with the contractor on this signature project. With the tower height expected to reach over 900 feet, the Hudson’s development could be the tallest building in Detroit.
So far DBM Vircon has provided 3D rebar modeling of the tower core mat and lower levels, and plans to partner with the contractor to complete the upper stories of this development when design is complete.
