As part of major re-vitalization of downtown Detroit, Michigan (USA), Hudson’s Site Tower and Development was built in 2022 – a 900-foot tall tower with 1 million square feet of retail, office, residential, and public space.
Due to the project’s array of uses, its architects called this development — which is expected to cost around $1 billion — a “city within a city.”
The development features around 425,000 square feet of residential space, 240,000 square feet of office space, 120,000 square feet of event space, and 100,000 square feet of retail space. There will be at least 700 underground parking spaces.
The DBM Vircon team worked directly with the contractor on this signature project. With the tower height expected to reach over 900 feet, the Hudson’s development could be the tallest building in Detroit.
DBM Vircon provided 3D rebar modeling of the tower core mat and lower levels.
It is our unique combination of experience, expertise and technology that turns complex data into intelligent and context rich models.
