project overview:

The Detroit Events Center, now known as Little Caesars Arena, is a multi-purpose arena including an eight story stadium built as a bowl with its floor 40 feet below street level and seating capacity of 20,000 for ice hockey or 21,000 for basketball.

Detroit Events Center Project Overview:

The arena was designed by HOK, a US based architecture and engineering firm and features a deconstructed layout housing retail outlets, arena’s box office and offices. One of the main features of the structure is a glass-roofed concourse which has been erected between buildings connecting to different establishments and offices.

DBM Vircon’s Scope of Work:

The project included 3D BIM modelling and shop detailing of approximately 9,800 tons of structural steel for client Cives Steel Company.

Detroit Events Center Project Highlights & Challenges:

DBM Vircon succeeded in dealing with the extremely tight 6-month project delivery schedule to deliver due to the target erection date.
