Support for PAALC’s Medical Mission

PDC Support PAALC’s Medical Mission

PDC is actively involved in projects that benefit the lives of children in various municipalities around the globe. These projects are aimed at helping local communities at a grass roots level.

With this same goal, PDC has supported Phoenix Asian American Lions Club (PAALC)’s medical mission held in the country early this month. About 15 to 30 American and Filipino doctors, nurses and volunteers from PAALC made the medical mission possible.

Beneficiaries were from Camarines Norte Provincial Hospital in Daet, Sisters of Mary School in Cavite, and Santisimo Rosario Elementary School in San Pablo, Laguna.

The PAALC team organized vision screenings, diabetic and wellness check-ups, feeding, distribution of eyeglasses, school supplies, and slippers alongside free surgical care consisting of major surgeries – hysterectomy, thyroidectomy, mastectomy, hernia removal, cleft lip repair, minor surgeries.

Last February 12, 2019, PAALC President Mary Jane Barjose presented a certificate of appreciation to PDC Group General Manager – Manila, Kenny Rowell and Head of Operations – Manila, Grace Garcia at the PDC Asia Pacific office in Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Phoenix Asian American Lions Club is the first family club in Arizona, USA and part of the Lions Clubs International with nearly 1.5 million members in more than 200 countries. The nonprofit organisation’s goal is to help and comfort the less fortunate families around the globe.
